TREATMENTS

 

Subsidence, damp and
infestation by woodworm or other pests can devalue or destroy any property. However, if you act quickly you can save your investment! Woodworm treatment, for example, is available for a fixed price of only £550 for homes of up to 3 bedrooms (inclusive).

ENERGY PERFORMANCE
INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATION

 

Fixed price of £75 for all homes of 3 or fewer bedrooms

HOME
INSPECTION

 

Includes a detailed assessment of the condition of your roof, chimney(s), all exterior walls, windows, and electrics, as well as a dampness and energy efficiency savings inspection. Fixed price of £150 for all homes

PROFESSIONAL
CONSULTATION SERVICE

 

Includes a home visit, collection of images, measurements, video, floorplans and property data, and a full, personalised proposal from our design team Fixed price of £150 for all homes

DAMP / TIMBER
INSPECTION

 

Includes an expert examination of all potential trouble spots and a detailed report. Fixed price of £95 for a standard inspection £95. Fixed price of £250 for full lab services and a report on all samples taken

While it is not necessary to enter into a service agreement to use any of our services – we are happy to help on an occasional or one-off basis – many of our clients enjoy the cost savings and total peace of mind that come with a comprehensive service agreement with Ambient Home Solutions.

We will work closely with you to tailor a bespoke service agreement to your unique needs as a property owner. That means you’ll never lack for any of the services we offer, but more importantly it means you’ll never pay for a service or option that you don’t want or can’t use.

We will never charge you for making sure your service agreement is the perfect fit for you and your property, nor will we charge any set-up fees of any kind. You’ll only pay for the services you’ve asked for, and only on your terms.

Once your service agreement is live, you can request any of the services listed at any time, day or night. Our powerful yet easy to use web contact tools make sure you can get your message through 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year.

CALL-OUT SERVICE

 

Upon your request for a call-out, our contractor group will review your request and review all relevant property information before contacting you to gather any further details they may require before setting out. They will collect any parts or materials required to carry out the task prior to arrival (where possible) to avoid wasting time, and arrive ready to get straight to work setting things right.

AVAILABILITY

 

All requests to carry out tasks under your service agreement are subject to local availability, which can be checked by accessing the calendar within your portal. We work hard to deal with requests ASAP,
and normally do so within a few hours.

contractor carries a standard toolkit as well as many generic parts and accessories for wide variety of common tasks.

PREVENTATIVE
MAINTENANCE

 

Arranging regular,
scheduled maintenance prevents small jobs from turning into big, expensive ones. We can set up a preventative maintenance schedule that is closely tailored to your needs.

ENERGY
PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES (EPCS)

 

Prices include
undertaking a full inspection and provision of an electronic version of the EPC to you (service aimed at property professionals who deal with sales and lettings of multiple prices, trade discounts available, contact us for further details.

DAMP & TIMBER SURVEY & REPORT SERVICE

 

We undertake a standard non-destructive survey and submit a full report to you. Discounts available for regular customers

TAILOR MADE

Costs

 

Our pricing policy centres around complete transparency and fairness to both our contractors and our clients. In all ways, you remain in complete control of your costs, and a vital part in the decision-making process. One of the aspects of this policy is the fact that our contractors have a large responsibility towards setting fair, realistic prices for their services. They offer very competitive rates in return for regular, repeat business from Ambient and our clients. We can then offer more and more varied services, and we all prosper as a result.

MINIMUM CALL-OUT CHARGE

 

The amount of your minimum call-out charge will be negotiated as part of your service agreement. This is an important feature, which ensures that a fully qualified team responds to every service request, getting your property back to rights faster and in the end with less overall expense.

MAXIMUM CALL OUT CHARGE

 

This will also be negotiated in your service agreement. It will be sufficient for our contractors to proceed and rectify any faults, resolving minor tasks immediately. It also keeps you in control by ensuring that no job will suddenly expand in scope and cost without warning, or without your permission.

MATERIALS

 

Your service agreement typically includes a £50 materials float which the contractor can use to cover any materials they need to carry out the requested task. This can be increased at your option – a higher maximum materials float will speed up the work process substantially, as the contractors will be less likely to have to stop to seek permission to obtain essential parts or materials to complete the customers requested job.

Expecting the Unexpected – Creating a new Job

 

If our contractors are unable to complete a task within the allocated time for a call-out, or they feel that will almost certainly be the case when they see the problem themselves, a new job can be created easily at your service portal. The contractors will collect any details they require, including images, measurements, floor plans, or whatever is appropriate to the work. This will be uploaded to the secure contractor’s portal area. Once Ambient and the contractor are in agreement, a quotation is created and submitted for your approval. Once you have approved the quotation, contractors can begin work making things right again.
